Apply for the Student Pitching Hour:

Students will have 5 minutes to pitch their research before taking questions from the audience. Following the Pitching Hour, the networking reception will begin where they will have a space to display their research to the delegates and further engage with the audience in real time.

Apply Today! This has a rolling submission, meaning once you apply, we will review and let you know within a few weeks if you are accepted.

To Qualify:

  • Submit for approval from the conference producer
  • Speakers will need to be students showcasing new and current research

If Accepted, What You Get:

  • Timeslot for the pitching hour
  • Space at the networking reception to further showcase your work
  • Entry to the entire conference and networking opportunities

Once Accepted:

  • The conference producer will email you to let you know if you are accepted
  • Further information on the PowerPoint presentation will be sent over to you within the acceptance email, as well as we have it displayed below

Your PowerPoint presentation should have only 5 slides:

  • Slide 1 - Title slide: Title of presentation, your name, and your institution/group that you represent.
  • Slide 2 - Description of the work: Description of the work you have done (raw material, equipment used, process conditions used).
  • Slide 3 and 4 - Results: Graphs and tables that will show the results from the work. Please do not load too many graphs or table so we cannot see the numbers. It would be better here to have less and see more.
  • Slide 5 - Conclusions: 3 to 4 bullet points that describes the conclusions that you made from the experiment you conducted.
